Through him and his posterity, all the earth will be blessed. His faith and obedience to God, being willing to sacrifice his beloved son, is in the similitude of the Father and our Savior's willingness to perform the atonement on our behalf. There was no ram in the thicket. This sculpture I call "After the Sacrifice," represents him embracing his son after the Lord provided a ram in the thicket. This is the first of a series of sculptures I am creating from the "life of Abraham". It is powerful and expresses tender filial love.
